Appointment of Chairman for the meeting of the Sub-Committee Minutes: The Democratic Services Officer opened the meeting and invited Councillors to appoint a Chair of the Sub-Committee Hearing. It was proposed by Councillor Sally Beardsworth and seconded by Councillor Keith Holland-Delamere that Councillor Mike Warren be appointed Chair of the Sub-Committee Hearing.
Resolved
(1) That Councillor Mike Warren be appointed Chair of the Sub-Committee Hearing.

Premises Licence Application - Tesco at Buckton Fields, Northampton, NN2 8ES Report of the Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer
Purpose of report
To consider an application for a new premises licence to be granted in respect of Tesco Buckton Fields, Unit 1 New Local Centre, Buckton Fields, Northampton, NN2 8ES in accordance with Section 16 of the Licensing Act 2003.
Recommendations
1.1 To determine the application for a new premises licence in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003.
Minutes: The Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report which requested the Sub-Committee consider an application for a new premises licence in accordance with Section 16 of the Licensing Act 2003 made by Tesco Stores Ltd in respect of Tesco Buckton Fields at Unit 1, New Local Centre, Buckton Fields, Northampton, NN2 8ES.
The Sub-Committee heard verbal representations from the applicant’s Licensing Manager, supported by the new store manager.
Both verbal and written representations were received from local residents, and the Sub-Committee noted that the recent change to the proposed opening times resulting from a recent decision of Strategic Planning Committee had satisfied the concerns of residents.
Resolved
(1) That the premises licence be granted, subject to the amended store opening hours of 7am to 11pm. |
