Appointment of Chair for the meeting of the Sub-Committee

Minutes:

The Democratic Services Officer opened the meeting and invited Councillors to appoint a Chair of the Sub-Committee Hearing. It was proposed by Councillor Sally Beardsworth and seconded by Councillor Keith Holland-Delamere that Councillor Brian Sargeant be appointed Chair of the Sub-Committee Hearing.

 

Resolved

 

(1)  That Councillor Brian Sargeant be appointed as Chair for the Licensing Sub-Committee Hearing.

Members are asked to declare any interest and the nature of that interest that they may have in any of the items under consideration at this meeting.

 

Note: Any Member with a disclosable pecuniary interest will not be able to participate in the hearing, and should therefore notify Democratic Services in advance so that arrangements may be made for an alternate Member to attend.

Report of the Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer

 

Purpose of report

 

To consider a Licensing Act application for a premises licence for; UK Elite Sport Limited trading as Northampton Active at 8th Earl Spencer Centre for Young People, Old Bedford Road, Northampton, NN4 7AA.

 

Recommendations

           

1.1      To determine the application for a premises licence in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003.

The Chair introduced the Councillors and officers present at the meeting and announced that for logistical reasons, there would be an amendment to the order of the agenda with the UK Elite Sport application being heard first, followed by the Outpost Café application.

 

The Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer introduced a report which requested that the Hearing consider an application for a Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003 for; UK Elite Sport Limited trading as Northampton Active, 8th Earl Spencer Centre for Young People, Old Bedford Road, Northampton NN4 7AA.

 

Resolved
