This field that adds a lot to the attractiveness of Daventry. Research shows that green areas are good for people’s health, including their mental health, and they help reduce Daventry’s net carbon dioxide emissions.
Daventry doesn’t need a new secondary school on this site, and it doesn’t need a new school to raise educational standards (as suggested by the former District Council) – inspections have reported that our town’s existing secondary schools are ‘good’ and in some respects ‘outstanding’.
If, at some time in the future, Daventry needs a new secondary
school to cope with the planned increase in its population, it
should be built near the new estates and not alongside an existing
school.
